You may ask, does a clock talk. Yes, the clock does talk. Some of us may have experienced it but failed to listen to what the clock was trying to tell us. This is about my experience talking with the clock & find out what the clock told me.

All clocks don’t talk, but once was a time when all clocks used to talk. There were few clock’s ancestors who speak so loud a whole city could hear them, they were called Tower Clock. Man not only create so many religions & caste in mankind but also created religion & caste in clocks. At present man has created two castes in clocks, one with the freedom of speech is called an Analog Clock & those without freedom of speech are called a Digital/electronic clock. You may not understand this right now but after reading completely you will come to know.
The clock doesn’t talk with all, the clock talks with only a few types of people. The one who is dormant, those who are stymied, those who don’t have any goal or aim & those who don’t know what they are doing with their life. Even sometimes clocks talk with the people who have goals but don’t put any effort to enact them, to be more specific clock talk with people like me.
We get to sleep when we are tired physically or mentally. Sleep is a process of preparing our body to function the next day without any breakdown. When you are not doing anything & leading a zombie life[eating will be the only activity in your life] How could you expect sleep? One fine night, the whole city will be in sleep [I can’t say the whole world will be in sleep because practically half of the world will be day] including your family members & everyone around you. You will be trying so hard to sleep, you turn left, right, you sleep upside down & you try all the possible positions to sleep & at last, you give up. That midnight all your efforts to sleep will fail & at last you turn facing towards the roof. At that fraction of a moment, your brain will be dead, all your sensory organs will stop responding. You feel like you are in the middle of nowhere walking into the dark tunnel & fear unnerves you.
It was during the 7th semester of my engineering. I was dormant, stymied, lazy. I was doing nothing except leading a zombie life. One fine night I was struggling a lot to sleep, I gave up & turned facing towards the roof. That moment came, I started hearing “tick tock tick tock tick tock” I continued hearing this for few seconds suddenly I heard “What are you these days?”. I was quite astounded & I was trying to find out where this voice was coming from. I started hearing “tick tock tick tock tick tock” again I was hearing this for few seconds suddenly I heard again “What are you these days”. This time I was harmonious with the voice & started to concentrate. The deeper I concentrate the clear I could hear the voice. Then I realized it was my wall clock talking to me. The clock was continuously asking me “What are you doing these days?”.
I replied in anxiety ” I’m doing nothing these days”.
Clock replied, “You are wasting your life, I don’t have any problem but why are you wasting me?”.
I asked in bemusement “What! I didn’t get you & when did I waste you? ”
clock replied, “Why are you wasting time?”.
After listening to this I started to break out in sweat, I started to think about what I was doing all these days & I asked a lot of questions to myself & I couldn’t answer any of my questions. I tried to ask answers from the clock, all I could hear was “tick tock tick tock tick tock tick tock”. The clock never spoke to me after that. The whole night I kept on thinking about what could be the answers to my questions. Around 4 am I got the answer to all my questions, it was ‘Me’. I’m the answer to all my questions, I don’t know when I slept after that. I woke up at 12:20 pm, it was like a dream though I still believe even today it was not a dream. I was having an idea about a conceptual design of a vehicle for the past 2 years. It was just paperwork & I used to dream about it every day until that incident. That was the day I decided to do my final year project on this conceptual vehicle- ANT & started working on that idea.
The moment arrives, like the Light of hope at the end of every journey in a dark tunnel, you hear a voice “tick tock tick tock tick tock tick tock”. It may be your wristwatch, wall clock or even your table clock, you hear “tick tock tick tock tick tock” that’s the Voice of truth. Now you would have understood why I said analogue clocks have freedom of speech & digital clocks don’t have freedom of speech. When the clock talks it is a warning like ‘low battery’ warning in your mobile when a battery is below 10% & it is the time to charge your mobile. When you start hearing tick tock tick tock tick tock only you can understand what the clock is trying to tell you. When the clock talks listen carefully because that is the Voice of truth. Is your clock talking to you? Have you ever heard a clock voice & failed to listen to what it was trying to tell you? Are you leading a zombie life? If your answer is yes then all I want to tell you is that your battery is below 10% charge your battery. Don’t let your clock talk because When the clock talks it’s already too late & you have only 10% battery left.
When I look back into my life, talking with the clock will be one of the greatest experiences that I will never forget…
